Tree Give Away at Go Green Expo.

Kevin Started off the year with 50 trees in kids hands at the Expo.

It was fun to ask each child first if they had a place to plant it, and if they would indeed plant and nourish it. To raise awareness Kevin has been planting seeds of environmental education in a fun way since the early 90's. And to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day has decided to donate 40 trees at every performance to be planted at the community he's performing.

The Go Green Expo was a fun and well planned event offering something for everyone.

It was especially fun to say hello to a man I've enjoyed hearing about over the years and his serious commitment to living very green, that would be Ed Begley Jr. Years ago I heard of this actor who threw out hardly any trash, makes sense if we can recycle most packaging. With a little work on composting in addition to the seriousness I had taken on recycling I was able to follow suit. His inspiration and fun antics on "Living with Ed" is a recommended watch.

Ed also drives Electric Vehicles and am happy to report many new ones are coming on the market that will fit just about anyones lifestyle. Big things are happening with charging stations, this is great news for the our planet.

I've been waiting for to see this in my home state and finally I had the opportunity to see it up close. Talk about HUGE these structures are massive but quiet and cool looking.

Several wind farms in North East Iowa that totaled with the rest of the state make it number two wind energy producer in the Nation.

Cedar Falls Iowa Energy Fair was enjoyable to be back to this wonderful event. The local crowds are a fun group to entertain but also have a strong interest in reducing their energy usage. With many of the vendors on hand were selling their CO2 friendly products, it was a perfect match for all.

Another day in the office for the Kevin!
OK a nice break to perform for Miss Earth Pageant. What better pageant than one that focuses on a planet! The girls really were knowledgeable when it came to sustainability, global warming and of course fashion to. They made a trip to Savers to model a reused wardrobe and also had amazing outfits from reused materials as well, very good green promoting. Yes it's a yearly happening and not sure its so enjoyable as the days get shorter and the holidays get closer. Summer is coming to it's close. The breaks we take are so important along this journey, grab em and cherish them and don't forget to smell the flowers while there in bloom.
The Show is soon traveling to Copenhagen Denmark for 28 performances in 7 days at the Botanical Gardens. Very delighted to be performing prior the Global Warming Summit in this historical and very green city. Denmark now produces 20% of its energy directly from the wind. Prior that in the midwest, a repeat performance for the Cedar Falls Energy Fair sponsored by the local utilities. Remember there is many ways to Green your back to school activities and lives. You can make a difference every day somehow. Have fun doing it.
